Over many, many years of working with couples in both conflict situations (Family Law/Family Separation) as well as couples wanting to improve their relationships or work through particular issues, it's become apparent that early intervention in the form of tools, information and psychoeducation is needed. What is psychoeducation? It's simply a fancy name for education about psychological concepts, for example, theories or concepts that help us understand, explain or describe human behaviour. Psychoeducation provides insight into the how and why we do things.

There are many skills associated with having a loving, meaningful intimate relationship including building strong foundations to weather the storms that inevitably come (think major life transitions, grief and loss, managing ageing parents, external stressors like careers, financial strain and parenting to name a few).

While newly engaged and newly married couples are basking in the excitement of their love, it can be difficult to anticipate the relationship challenges that may come. My aim is to provide couples early on with the tools to establish a strong foundation, enabling them to foster and sustain healthy communication and connection, even when faced with challenges.
